Milo is a handsome five year old boy. He is a small 35 pound boy with a big personality. He is a little shy when first meeting strangers but he warms up once he feels comfortable. That is when his personality comes out and he becomes the quintessential Springer. He knows some basic commands and is eager to learn more. Milo will fetch sometimes but really prefers his toys more than a ball. He is intently focused on his human and has good recall when off leash. He walks nicely on leash as well. At first like a lot of dogs that have lived outside their whole lives, he did not want to go out without his foster. And then wanted to immediately go back into the house. But as his confidence has increased he is staying out by himself for short periods. Milo has lots of energy and must go to an active adopter who will give this very athletic dog a lot of exercise. He loves long walks, hikes, chasing birds and squirrels. But he also loves snuggling with you inside. Milo is the typical Velcro Springer who follows you everywhere and wants to be with you all the time. He loves attention and reciprocates with so much affection. He bonds and loves deeply and he would not be happy sharing that love. Therefore we want him to go to a single person who works from home or is retired. We want him to be an only dog so that he can truly be the center of his adopter’s universe. We want him to have a large yard or acreage to explore. He is neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm negative and micro chipped. If you feel that you and Milo could be best friends, please fill out our adoption application.
Milo is in foster care in New Mexico.
