Meet Moose - Adopted

Hi, my name is Moose and I am looking for my furever home. I am two years old and spent those first two years in an outdoor kennel (with another dog). I got very little attention from my owner other than being fed twice a day. The owner gave me up because he figured out he didn’t have time for me and a very kind lady rescued me. She sent me to the vet where they checked me out and got me all up to date on my vaccinations and even put a microchip in me so that if I got lost someone would know where I belonged.

I am a compact guy, weighing in at 36 pounds. I was not housebroken and under socialized and didn’t know what it was like to live in a home. I was eventually put into a foster home where I have excelled in my skills. I am now housebroken and know what it means to be loved and cared for. My foster dad has another dog with whom I try to play but he is 10 years old and doesn’t like to run around and chase me. I quickly learned how to use the doggie door and am learning to like my crate (not so much but I’m trying). I got neutered (not sure what that means) and am now ready to be adopted.

When I first got to my foster home, I didn’t know that it was okay to sit in my foster dad’s lap. I slowly learned that it is safe to be there and now like sitting with him when he drinks his coffee every morning (I also love lying next to himon the couch in the evening when he watches tv). I sleep on a dog bed at night but like to get up early and cuddle with my foster dad.

I am learning to walk on a leash but will need more time to learn not to pull. I LOVE going for walks and chasing a ball. The best fit for me would be with a family that is home a lot, has a fenced yard and another dog. They say I get along great with children as it was a child that used to feed me.

If you have room in your heart for a lovable cuddly dog that craves attention (hey – I need to fill up what was lacking for those first two years) and would like to adopt me please fill out the adoption application using the link below.
